Delta Force – First Look

Delta Force – First Look & Review News November 3, 2024 Nowrax Delta Force First Look: A Mixed Bag of Battlefield-Style Action Delta Force has arrived, bringing its free-to-play first-person shooter experience to players. With the game gaining traction, we took a closer look at its key attributes: gameplay, gunplay, story, graphics, and optimization. Here’s what we found. Gameplay: A Familiar Battlefield One of the first things players will notice is how Delta Force feels eerily similar to Battlefield 2042. This resemblance is surprising, especially considering that Battlefield 2042 is one of the least celebrated entries in its series. While it’s unlikely the developers intentionally aimed to mimic it, the end result feels like a free-to-play version of EA’s title. The large-scale battles, vehicle mechanics, and map designs all bear a striking resemblance. Whether that’s a pro or a con will depend on how much you enjoyed Battlefield 2042—or didn’t. Gunplay: Realistic, But Not Perfect For any FPS game, gunplay is crucial, and Delta Force delivers a somewhat satisfying experience. The weapons feel realistic enough, though they don’t quite reach the level of polish seen in titles like Call of Duty or PUBG. Those games have mastered their gun mechanics, leaving Delta Force feeling more “acceptable” than exceptional. For players looking for solid but not groundbreaking shooting mechanics, this game gets the job done. 20241204205728_1 20241204205611_1 20241204205545_1 20241204205740_1 Delta Force 20241205130742_1 20241205130805_1 20241205130845_1 Story: Still Missing in Action Currently, Delta Force offers no single-player campaign, focusing exclusively on multiplayer battles. While there are subtle hints about the setting and the conflict through character selection and environmental storytelling, the narrative remains vague and underdeveloped. This is a missed opportunity, as the FPS community often appreciates a strong campaign to complement multiplayer gameplay. However, there’s hope that a single-player story might be introduced in future updates. Until then, the lack of a campaign leaves the game feeling incomplete. Graphics and Optimization: Good, But Not Great Visually, Delta Force looks decent but not impressive. The graphics seem designed to be compatible with both PC and mobile platforms, which likely limits their quality. The result is a game that looks fine but fails to wow players on higher-end PCs. Performance-wise, we experienced some issues. Playing in 4K resolution caused noticeable frame drops, especially during intense battles. Even lowering the resolution didn’t entirely resolve these problems, which suggests optimization still needs work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gM1T5SOZWVs&t=18s Conclusion: A Work in Progress Delta Force is an okay FPS with potential, but it still needs significant improvements. The gameplay and gun mechanics are serviceable, but the game suffers from lackluster graphics, optimization issues, and the absence of a campaign. If the developers take player feedback seriously and address these shortcomings, Delta Force could evolve into a solid free-to-play shooter. For now, it’s a decent option for those looking for large-scale battles without paying a dime, but it doesn’t quite rise above the competition. The Last of Us Part I Review

The Last of Us Part I Review October 31, 2024 Nowrax Not that The Last of Us necessarily needed a remastered version—it was already one of the best-looking games in history. However, what truly made it one of the greatest games ever wasn’t just its stunning visuals. It was the culmination of all its elements—gameplay, story, characters, and the iconic music —that set it apart and elevated it to legendary status. https://youtu.be/j5glEQNvq-Y GamePlay 5/5 Let’s start with the gameplay. The character movement feels incredibly natural and realistic—arguably among the best even by today’s standards. The gunplay is superb, with precise mechanics and authentic sound design that enhance immersion. Additionally, the ability to upgrade guns and skills adds a rewarding sense of achievement and progression throughout the game, keeping players engaged and invested in their journey. Story 2/2 As for the story, it’s surprisingly far from the typical zombie narrative we’ve seen countless times. Instead, it’s a deeply human story set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. The game explores real-world problems and emotions that people face, even in extreme circumstances, making the narrative relatable and impactful. The story provides strong motivation to keep going, even if there are flaws in gameplay or other aspects. Simply put, the story of The Last of Us is captivating and phenomenal, cementing its place as one of the most memorable in gaming history. Gameplay Screenshots Game Characters 2/2 When it comes to game characters, Joel and Ellie are arguably among the most recognizable figures in gaming. Their development is paced deliberately, allowing both the game and the player to gradually get to know them and form a strong emotional attachment as the story unfolds. This connection is masterfully achieved through a narrative that seamlessly integrates their personalities and experiences, merging storytelling and gameplay into a cohesive and unforgettable experience. Graphics 1/1 The graphics were exceptional, exceeding expectations even at the time of the game’s release. Surprisingly, they still hold up today, making it clear that The Last of Us didn’t necessarily need a visual remaster. It was one of the best-looking games ever created, and the fact that it achieved this level of visual fidelity on a PS3 is a testament to the incredible skill and dedication of the development team behind it.
